Sportswomen Miesha Tate

 

Miesha Theresa Tate is an American mixed-martial artist. She was born on August 18, 1986. Tate is currently competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) which she was a former UFC Women's Bantamweight champion. Tate formerly competed for Strikeforce and is a former Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tate was vice-president of ONE Championship. She is currently ranked in the top 10 in the UFC women's bantamweight rankings as on October 3 2022.



 



 Early life



 Tate was born in the Seattle suburb Tacoma, Washington, to Michelle Tate, and was raised by Michelle and husband Robert Schmidt. She was a tomboy in her youth and often played on the playgrounds with other boys.
